“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16 (KJV)
In His love, God made a way for your sin debt to be paid.
The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
God is the Creator of the universe. People in the world number more than seven billion, and God loves each one individually.
The Bible tells us that every person in the world has sinned and come short of the glory of God.
Because God is perfectly holy, sin cannot enter His presence. Our sin separates us from God and must be punished.
God proved His love toward us in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Jesus Christ is the sinless Son of God. He lived a perfect life without sin. Because He had no sin of His own, He could die in our place.
Jesus Christ suffered on the cross, paying the penalty for your sin. He was buried and rose again the third day, proving His power over sin and death.
Believing is not merely acknowledging that Jesus existed.
Believing is trusting in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life.
You must believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead and trust Him alone to save you.
Faith is not trusting in good works, religion, or baptism — it is trusting fully in Jesus Christ.
The Lord is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
God does not want anyone to perish. Everyone is born a sinner and is therefore separated from God.
To perish means eternal separation from God in Hell.
God offers eternal life to anyone who believes in Jesus Christ as Savior.
God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.
He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
Everlasting life is available today. You can receive it by believing in Jesus Christ and placing your faith in Him alone.
1. We have all sinned.
2. The penalty for sin is death.
3. Jesus Christ died to pay the penalty for your sin and rose from the dead three days later.
4. Every person who does not believe in Jesus will perish and spend eternity separated from God.
5. Believing in Jesus Christ is the only way not to perish.
“That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.”
John 3:15
Dear Jesus,
I know I am a sinner and that I deserve Hell.
I believe You died on the cross, paid the penalty for my sin, and rose from the dead three days later.
I now place my faith in You alone to forgive my sin and save me.
Thank You for giving me eternal life.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
The assurance that you have eternal life is based on God’s unchanging Word.
“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”
John 3:36
